This book serves as a supplementary guide for anyone taking SAP Education to help them prepare for and pass the SAP Certified Application Associate Business Intelligence with SAP NetWeaver (7.0) exam. What Readers Say

The SAP BW Associate certification is the first SAP certification I’m going to take. After having done two Java certifications with really educative and nicely written study material, this book by Lisa Bellissimo comes as a cold shower.
The first couple of chapters give some general information about SAP’s certification program and the exam itself, which is fine. This is the same information you can find on the SAP website.
The study material for the exam is discussed from the third chapter on. The book touches lightly on every subject of the BW certification exam. In fact, it compresses fairly substantial subject like Integrated Planning into a mere 4 pages chapter, while you can expect around 10 questions concerning this subject on the exam. Fair enough, it’s a summary and everything mentioned is on topic, yet for this money, it all seems just a bit too superficial.
Another problem I have with this book is its style; it’s written in a poor and tedious manner. For starters, the author uses bullet points all the time even when a figure would be much more effective. The subject “Display types for content from SAP Netweaver BW” for example, is explained by no less than 16 bullet points divided over 3 pages. This kind of constructions are really ineffective and the book, unfortunately, is full of them.
The book has hardly any value as reference material – as explanations are often too brief – and mainly serves to give you a rough idea about the contents of the exam without bothering to explain too much. If that’s what you’re looking for AND you have a thing for bullet points, this book is for you.

Overall, practice with SAP BI Questions is more helpful in preparation for SAP BI Certification than this book.
