If you are using or need to get up to speed on Materials Management in SAP ERP, this is your must-have resource. This book provides a comprehensive and expanded overview of the various functionalities and configurations needed for SAP MM. This book is the ultimate reference for anyone looking for MM information, dealing with everything from goods receipt and invoice verification to balance sheet valuation and the material ledger. It answers the question: What is SAP MM, and what does it mean for my business? This is your one-stop guide to help you to understand and master SAP MM, and work more efficiently.
When selecting books of this nature I prefer books that are not designed to influence you to purchase software or components, but those that give you a helping hand to solve the problems you do have with configuring it for your own use and realising the benefits that first attracted to you to SAP. This book does exactly what it sets out to do – working from a clear overview of the MM module at the beginning to some much more detailed sections where you need it. I particularly enjoyed some of the real-life examples – and would recommend them – for me it brought the subject to life and prompted my own thinking on how to use MM to greatest effect. I also appreciated the fact that the book acknowledges that the MM module does not operate in a vacuum -the book will help me realise the seamless integration of MM with other modules. Overall, this is a practical, helpful guide to MM, which strikes the balance between technical detail and practical application. I’d recommend it.
