I am trying to add a material as ‘T’ (text) to an existing active BOM. I am getting an error message “Do not enter the article with the type of item T (translated French to English – so may not be exact English error message). How do I overcome this message as this material must be entered as a T not N or L

Hi,

If you put item cat T it is for non material related items.
Keep the material blank and you will prompt to fill the text of component description and the quantity.
