About the certification center
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
Name of the center: SAP South Africa in Midrand (www.sap.com)
About the center: The room was a double room like the one you would use for meetings but opened up painted in white its bright and clear, about 70 computers with four instructors. We were about 30 plus people that were writing. We were seated with a person that was not writing the same module, you are given a personal paper that had your details on it, password and the log-in details. The instructor will tell us how to open the system and to put in our log-in details. If you had any problem, you would raise your hand and they would come and assist you. All cell phone are to be switched off and left at the front table. Moreover, the room had cameras! I was very nervous because it was my second time writing this test, the first time I failed it, it was last year in April.
About the certification
Code of the certification: C_TFIN52_65
Name of the certification: SAP Certified Application Associate – Financial Accounting with SAP ERP 6.0 EHP5
Format of the certification: The questions were about assets under construction, types of accounts and what are they used for, and some question about the SAP Netweaver, how to reverse a posting, and so on. There were 80 questions, the pass mark is 64 percent, 3 hours is given to finish the test.
During the certification: The certification is not difficult. It is that you have to study and know all every section in the book! The questions are all multiple choice. When you submit the final answer you get the results in about a minute telling you if you were successful or not. I was nervous because I spent a lot of money and failing was going to be bad for me.
How he prepared: I first quit the job that I was working because they did not use SAP and I manage to get another job that was using SAP but an end user position only. Anyway, I took the salary cut as they offered me less than what I was earning just to be used to the system. I used to study four days a week but when it was near the test I then studied as for six days for about 3 to 5 hours.
Result: He passed the exam with the score 68%.
