    Hi,

What transaction is you referring to?
If you use Tcode VD51, it should be available when you go to detail screen.
Just double click on row you need to edit.

    Hi,

Framework Purchasing order used to procure materials or external services. Instead of stipulating a specific delivery date, this type of purchase order has an extended validity period.
Framework orders are defined via the document type FO. They are used in accelerated procurement processes in connection with maintenance/ servicing plans or invoicing plans, and for blanket purchase orders (purchase orders with limits).
A framework order covers multiple procurement transactions over a longer period in cases where the administrative costs of processing discrete POs would be disproportionately high.

It depend how you want to manage your PO process if the tolling process is recurring and for a long period of time then Framework PO could be considered.

    Hi,

Yes it is possible to have different exchange rate for each transaction.
In SAP you could maintain Exchange Rate type to differentiate the transaction.
Some transaction also allow you to input the exchange rate manually within transaction.

    Please refer to Exchange Rate

    Hi,

First you need to create BOMs
    SF Y with component A, B
    SF Z with component C, D
    FG X with component Y, Z

Then for each material BOM you need to create routing/ recipe.
    Recipe for X, Y, Z
the operation sequence need to define based on your production process in sequence,
means if you said SF Y produce first, then SF Z, then in Recipe for X you need to put material assignment Y in previous operation before operation with Z.
    Hope it will help.

    Hi,

If you put item cat T it is for non material related items.
Keep the material blank and you will prompt to fill the text of component description and the quantity.

in reply to: using MIRO to book 2 different types of TAX #22857

    Hi,

You could split the amount of your 2 tax codes in PO item tab and GL Account type
For example you have 1 PO item with amount 5000 and need to separate into 2 tax codes:
In the PO item, in MIRO, changed the expected amount i.e 3000 and inserted the 1st tax code (no changes was made to qty).
In the G/L account tab of MIRO input the rest of amount i.e 2000 with 2nd tax code:

The invoice was posted with the correct vat amount with 2 vat codes for the single PO item.

    Hi,

I don’t think basis will be disappearing from the market ever. SAP is moving to cloud service today, and thats why still basis consultant is the most needed .
Maybe because you already have a large gap then you feel much worried.
From my experience before, basis will do all the things like infra and system admin and maintenance. and security and GRC should be part of it. But now they differentiate it into another role.
yeah Im not sure either if its the same with your experience. How about you, what is your skill set as basis consultant before?

in reply to: lower case letter in SAP Router String #22855
    Edward T

    Hi,

The definition of /S/ is stand for Host port. It’s optional and if not available it will use the default port 3299.
I’m not really sure how you input it, but yes it should be Upper cased.
May be try to type it first in a notepad then copy paste it to Router string input,
or sometimes the issue can come from the SAP GUI installation, try reinstall it with an updated version one.

    Hi,

From your post I will assume that you will use LSMW for your daily transaction.
The things is LSMW is only intended to be used in migration process, means it will not recommended to use in a regular basis.
But yes depending of how your requirement is, LSMW could do many things.

In other company for a requirement that cannot be handled using standard transaction, the most common way is to develop custom program to fulfill the requirements.
Other possible solution is to implement SAP add-on or Third party application, such as Open Text is one common product to be use for Invoice management.

Testing will always be part of software development, so yes it should have a good future for this kind of job.
From my experience in system implementation, especially in a big project, with a big amount of resources, there’s always have a testing team consist of multiple roles and positions to handle all the system testing. And yes it should be better if the tester know the basic for each particular module they tested, at least from end user point of view.
