Unfortunately, I don’t think that this experience will be really useful for jobs in SAP field.
If you mention import/export, then you should probably be interested in SAP GTS (Global Trade Services) module.
You definitely will need help of an ABAPer with this task. It probably can be implemented with help of Business Transaction Events functionality.
